  • 2000-2002 PhD in Marine Biology and Ecology, at Polytechnic University of Marche, discussing the thesis entitled " Study of gene sequences for the evolution and phylogeny of bivalves”
  • 2002-2004 Post-doctoral Researcher at Institute of Biology and Genetics, Polytechnic University of Marche.
  • 2003 award for the best young researcher in Cytogenetic from “Unione Zoologica Italiana”.
  • 2004-2014 member of the Italian Project for the Research in Antarctica (P.N.R.A.).
  • 2005-2018 Assistant Professor in Genetics at the Department of Life and Environmental Sciences of Polytechnic University of Marche.
  • 2006-2013 tutor of PhD school of the Faculty of Sciences at Polytechnic University of Marche.
